Real-time warning system for pedestrians, vehicles, residences, and commercial entities proximate to a railway track
The invention relates to the deployment of wireless communications systems to improvesafety along the railway. It is a system capable of notifying all the parties such aspedestrians, vehicles, and nearby businesses, which are at risk from approaching railwayvehicles. The system includes a processor-based transceiver with a unique identifiermounted in the vehicles which transmit real-time critical information. The system furtherincludes a second processor-based transceiver placed along the road to wirelessly transmitalerts generated in real-time by processing the data received from the vehicles. This systemuses mobile applications, audible and visual techniques for warning purposes.
