UBLC Joins World Intellectual Property Day Celebration

UBLC proudly participated in the World Intellectual Property Day celebration held at Taj Samudra on April 24, 2024, in collaboration with esteemed partners: the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka.

As part of this event, a series of technology transfer workshops took place on April 23rd, 25th, and 26th, 2024. These workshops provided a platform for tech transfer officers from across the country to engage with US experts in the field of technology transfer. Through interactive sessions, participants shared valuable experiences and best practices.

Topics covered during the workshop series included establishing and building sustainable technology transfer offices, TTO invention triage and selection, pre-negotiation valuation, and negotiation strategies. This collaborative initiative aimed to foster knowledge exchange and enhance capabilities in technology transfer, ultimately contributing to the advancement of innovation ecosystems.
